Rocky Vista Health Center in Parker, Colorado has an immediate opening for a full-time Internal Medicine Staff Physician. 
Clinic is open 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday

PRIMARY PURPOSE:   Provide oversight and education to the Internal Medicine residents and occasional patient care in his/her field of training, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance to patients. 
  1. Supply appropriate patient care in accordance to standard of care.
  2. Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.
  3. Prescribe medication in accordance with Colorado statute and professional practice guidelines.
  4. Arrange referral for patients requiring services not offered at Rocky Vista Health Center.
  5. Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner.
  6. Comply with the Rocky Vista Health Center Infection Control plan which includes personally utilizing universal precautions. Ensure compliance by support staff.
  7. Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings.
  8. Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
  9. Assist in outside medical public relations functions.
  10. Supervise Residents in training at Rocky Vista Health Center as assigned by the Health Center Medical Director or Dean/CAO of Rocky Vista University.
  1. Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects as required.
  1. Demonstrate leadership skills, delegation skills, and time management skills.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the delivery of medical care.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of varied health care systems and insurance providers.
  4. Demonstrate ability to mentor and motivate faculty and staff.
  1. Board Certification in appropriate area of specialization if applicable.
  2. Current D.E.A. Certificate
  3. Demonstrated leadership and productivity in the areas of clinical or professional service and health care delivery.
  4. Good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies.
  5. Hold and maintain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Colorado.
  6. Eligible for coverage by college’s malpractice insurer if applicable.
