Executive Director Position

The Board of Directors of the Denver Osteopathic Foundation is searching for an experienced, reliable, and motivated, task oriented Executive Director.  The Executive Director will report directly to the board of directors and will be responsible for performing administrative duties.  The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience working in a non-profit setting is highly self-motivated, capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a non-profit environment.
Executive Director Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of events, which the Board of Directors deems appropriate.  Schedules and staffs all board meetings.
  • Coordination of annual meeting and other membership communication.
  • Development of and coordination of support for medical education programs.  Maintains (CME) files as set forth by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Public relations and marketing.
  • Establishing protocol for and administering grants and gifting programs.
  • Personnel hiring, firing, training, evaluations and counseling.
  • Development, coordination, and implementation of public educational programs on health, safety and preventative care.
  • Program and project management and development.
  • Maintains files for the administration of the Foundation i.e.  Files reports to sustain DOF’s non-profit status (501)(c)(3), oversees IRS filings 990 document, filings for the Colorado Secretary of State, maintains policy manual.
  • Oversight and maintenance of the DOF website
  • Annual preparation of budgets, goals and objectives.
  • Any and all duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Executive Director Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a job reporting directly to senior management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with Foundation specific programs and software.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
