Rocky Vista University in Ivins, Utah has an immediate opening for a full-time
Assistant Marketing Manager.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director of Marketing and External Relations in the development and implementation of an effective marketing and communications program to achieve the mission of the College and University.  This position will work closely with the Marketing Manager.
  1. Serves as a member of the Marketing Team; works closely with Colorado marketing team.
  2. Serves as university photographer for Utah campus.
  3. Responsible for writing and distributing press releases for Utah campus. Oversees Home Town News program.
  4. Reviews, updates and maintains social media sites and blog.
  5. Maintains experts list and student directory and updates as necessary.
  6. Updates university website as necessary.
  7. Researches and writes articles for the Vista View Newsletter.
  8. Searches for and sends news and announcements to RVU community regularly.
  9. Provides graphic design services for the university.
  10. Represents university at community events as requested.
  11. Works with purchasing to obtain quotes on projects and place orders.
  12. Maintains contact list for local and national media.
  13. Demonstrates and maintains a positive applicant/student customer service attitude.
  14. Approves student apparel and fliers.
  15. Ability to represent the department and the university in a professional manner.
  16. Participates in special assignments not limited to student services, marketing, and Alumni Association.
  17. Serve on committees at the request of the Executive Director, President, the Dean or their designee.
  18. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, President, the Dean or their designee.
  1. Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects.
  2. Supports and attends activities of all areas of Marketing department with duties as assigned including but not limited to community and campus events.

  1. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  2. Knowledge of graphic design software including Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
  3. Experience with Wordpress
  4. Experience with photography in a professional setting
  5. Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  6. Ability to work with confidential material with an attention to detail
  7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize a large workload, and problem solve innovatively
  8. Demonstrate strong computer skills
  9. Demonstrate time management skill and meet deadlines.
  10. Motivated and self-directed
  11. Detail-oriented
  1.  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years marketing experience
  1. Master’s degree in Marketing or Communications
  2. Previous experience at an accredited university, health profession college or medical school
