Clinical Rotations Coordinator.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:       Manage clinical clerkship rotations for third and/or fourth year medical students in Utah.
  1. Assist in creating and developing clinical clerkship rotations in Utah.
  2. Maintain accurate clinical information database for clinical rotations sites, adjunct clinical faculty, and student assignments in designated areas.
  3. Schedule clinical clerkship rotations for third and/or fourth year students in the Utah region.
  4. Communicate with preceptors and students in the coordination of clinical clerkship rotations.
  5. Efficiently resolve schedule conflicts as the arise.
  6. Communicate and direct appropriate student concerns to the Assistant/Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs.
  7. Ensure all required student documents are completed in a timely.
  8. Manage the evaluation process of students, clinical faculty and clinical sites.
  9. Maintain an ongoing database of all above evaluations.
  10. Review and verify preceptor payments.
  11. Proctor end-of-rotations exams as necessary.
  12. Calculate and report grades to the Office of the Registrar.
  13. Provide any assistance and support to the Office of Clinical Affairs
  14. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant or Associate Dean or his/her designees.
  1. Assist Administration, faculty and staff in special projects as required.
  2. Participate in community and professional outreach activities on behalf of the college and university as required.
  1. Professional communication skills (email, telephone, etc).
  2. Demonstrate data skills with Windows Microsoft, Excel, Adobe and Outlook.
  3. Outstanding organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work with confidential material with attention to detail.
  5. Ability to solve problems efficiently.

  7. Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  1. Bachelor’s degree or 5-years equivalent work in scheduling or database management.
  1. Post graduate degree
  2. Work experience in a Medical School or Residency Program.
  3. Work experience in scheduling in a healthcare-related facility.
