Program Coordinator of Clinical Assessment and Simulation.

 PRIMARY PURPOSE:       Provide support in the design, development, implementation, training, and evaluation of patient simulation. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Clinical Assessment and Simulation, to provide comprehensive teaching to students, residents, faculty and other users of the department.

The ideal candidate will have experience in training/teaching and have great organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

1. Develop a recruiting, screening and hiring plan for Standardized Patients who are then trained to portray patients for student learning.   
2. Ability and aptitude to be a Trainer which entails training standardized patients in assessment of History Taking, Physical Exam and Interpersonal Skills as well as feedback training and quality control procedures. 
3. Coordinate and facilitation for all aspects of training and exams/events for Standardized Patient sessions including scheduling, room set up in collaboration and under the direction of the Director  
4. Coordinate and manage all aspects of the EMS system including entering case material information including checklists and post encounter forms, all details for creating Standardized Patient and Simulation sessions, monitoring and troubleshooting during sessions, entering of student and Standardized Patient data, and maintenance and security of the system.
5.  Maintain secure and organized system for retention of students’ records pertaining to all Standardized Patient activities.
6. Assist in the planning, development and growth of the Clinical Assessment and Simulation department
7. Run simulation activities with students, faculty and others.

2.  Copies and collates Standardized Patient training materials.

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in health related or educational field

1.  2 years experience in medical simulation and standardized patient work.
